Humanis walks a fine line between hate group and policlub. Their goal is pretty straight forward: somebody has got to stand up for the rights of ordinary human beings. By which they mean Homo sapiens sapiens only. Much of their efforts are spent pointing to real or imagined threats posed by metahumans and the Awakening.
Seattle’s chapter is one of the oldest and largest in the world. It started after the Ghost Dance War as a community watch organization to protect people abandoned by the government to weird Native American hoodoo and the first wave of metahumans. Goblinization Day followed, terrifying the populace and swelling the ranks. But everything changed with the Night of Range. When fires finally stopped burning on the Seattle waterfront, the general public (and less radical members) woke up to the groups thug practices. Since then, the group has transformed from lynch mob to political action committee, intrenching themselves in the Seattle political scene
